The Equipment Sales Representative is responsible for developing strategies in order to successfully market and sell used tractors and trailers. (Responsible for equipment in the following divisions: Specialized, Heavy Haul, CES, ATS, Inc., International, and related affiliates.) Education and Experience Higher education (i.e. two or four year degree) and 1 to 2 years related experience; or equivalent experience. A minimum of 1 year experience in truck or trailer sales. Strong understanding of sales, marketing and customer service skills with the ability to develop relationships. Good knowledge of transportation industry preferred. Fleet Maintenance Summary The 2nd Shift Maintenance Service Leader is responsible for coordinating the daily maintenance and repair operations performed at night by scheduling, monitoring shop employees, and by ordering and organizing parts, supplies, records, and files to provide safe, efficient, and quality service to all customers. This position will interact with drivers, operations, and vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates all activities associated with the installation, maintenance and repair of assigned equipment/vehicles by scheduling and monitoring mechanics to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Monitors employee performance, conducts employee performance appraisals, recommends salary adjustments, and offers assistance and direction when needed. Monitors operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, local and Federal government regulations and company policies and procedures. Monitors inventory levels by entering issued and received parts in the computer system to ensure they are available and ready for the organization at the lowest overall costs. Issues parts requested by mechanics and enter information into computer system. Receives or issues equipment from/to drivers based on MEC documents and enters information into computer system. Orders parts as needed from vendors to maintain appropriate inventory level. Performs preventative maintenance service and repairs on all assets by inspecting, servicing, and repairing equipment, following company preventative maintenance schedule to ensure it is in safe working condition and in DOT compliance. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education and Experience Must have knowledge in the maintenance-related field usually gained through 2 years of vocational training and/or equivalent related experience. Must have a solid understanding of parts and inventory control usually gained through 1-2 years of training and/or related experience. Must have basic computer skills to be able to update inventory and work orders in computer system. Must have excellent supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
